DRIVETIME
School of Motoring was first established by Thomas Beard in the
mid 1970's, then trading as Park School of Motoring. During the
last 30 years Thomas has earned a great deal of respect and become
extremely popular with both students and colleagues alike. The
vast knowledge of driving tuition which he has gained over the
years is reflected in his high standards of teaching and by the
many hundreds of students who have passed through his guidance.
Thomas remains the senior instructor at DRIVETIME to this present
day.
Approximately
10 years ago the business was expanded as Thomas' son, Chris Beard,
joined the team. Together they re-launched the business as DRIVETIME
SOM. Previous to being a driving instructor Chris was a member
of the elite Parachute Regiment of the British Army, during which
time he served in numerous conflicts including Northern Ireland.
Since joining DRIVETIME Chris has strived to provide excellent
training facilities, and his commitment to his students and work
ethic is outstanding. Following his qualification as a driving
instructor, Chris has furthered his knowledge and skills by undertaking
advanced courses in driving and teaching techniques.
DRIVETIME
has gone from strength to strength and business is thriving. It
now covers a vast area of the North East including Durham, Bishop
Auckland, Ferryhill, Spennymoor, Chester-le-Street, Derwentside
and all the surrounding areas
